Every individual metabolizes food differently. Do you eat healthfully at home but get distracted from your weight-loss goal by delicious food at parties? Try this simple trick from the Cornell Food and Brand Lab the next time you go out: Browse all the available food first before taking a bite. Just the act of looking at the food will help you slow down and allow you to prioritize which ones you enjoy the most and which ones you don't like as much. Planning out your meal will teach you how to eat more mindfully, which will help you successfully lose weight without exercise.
Fabrics are everywhere - and these days, most of the fabric in our lives is synthetic or at least part-synthetic. These complex fabrics often offer a great blend of comfort, easy care, and attractive appearance, but many of them have been treated with formaldehyde, chemical-based dyes, fire retardant, and more. Washing fabrics well before using them can help. Just be sure to wash your clothing with non-toxic detergents free from added fragrance. Filtering indoor air to remove gases that come from sources such as new carpet, drapes, furniture, and other textiles can help, too. If you get a new car, be aware that much of the new car smell" that many people find pleasant comes from chemicals found in plastic and fabrics; ventilate your vehicle well and often to reduce your exposure.

As someone who lives in France part of the time, I would say it is the French love of food and respect for it that has kept them from being excessive. It's not about quantity, it's about quality. And it's about the time taken to enjoy it. I think the fast food culture in the US is not just about fast food, but fast eating.
Go to a sauna. Saunas may result in a loss of a pint of sweat in just a quarter of an hour. To prevent dehydration, limit sauna time to 15 or 20 minutes per day. Again, this, like most very-quick-fix treatments that cause various kinds of excretion, is just a way to drop water weight, making you slim down for a day or so. This is not a permanent weight loss method. You should hydrate by drinking a few glasses of water after spending time in a sauna to reduce the risk of dehydration.
