My next big competition is the South Island Teams Event next weekend (Dec 13-14) before I return to for another training block before coming back for a string of meetings from February to April. This will include a two-week stint training in Brisbane while the track is being re-laid at the Caledonian Ground here in Dunedin.

After leading his team to a District Championship in 2014, Taylor looks to add depth to the DWU defensive backfield. On the defensive side of the ball he registered 67 total tackles including 10 for a loss. He also holds the school record with a 97-yard kickoff return and brought two returns back for touchdowns. His senior season he finished with 1,003 all-purpose yards. Taylor was also an All-State Honorable Mention in 2016. The 5-foot-11 defensive back made his mark on the track as well. He was the 2015 and 2016 conference and district 4x100-meter relay champion, two-time state qualifier and medaled at the state meet. He was an honor roll member and won the NESA Writing Award. Taylor plans to major in elementary education.

The first Wednesday of February is National Signing Day for Division I Men's Soccer. Can't tell you how excited I am about the four players joining our program this fall. In addition to these Lobos (now), we will announce several more talented players over the upcoming months. Nick Barreiro, Bailey Letherman, Nick Taylor and Alex Vedamanikam are incredible young men, excellent students and decorated players. National Signing Day Release I hope you get a good feel for Nick, Bailey, Nick and Alex from the website article. I am excited about this team. The 2017 season is going to be an exciting one.
