Trying to slim down this summer? So as the low-fat era had begun, the idea was to eat more carbohydrates in place of these fatty foods. So things like pasta, bread, rice, potatoes, grains, etc were encouraged over fatty cuts of meat, extra butter, coconut oil, and other cooking oils. That doesn't mean that we don't have certain areas where we're predisposed to put on fat. If I gain a few excess pounds, most seem to appear on my stomach. Other people tend to put on pounds in their thighs or rear. They're gaining weight everywhere, of course, but it seems to appear more readily in a certain area. On the flip side, if I lose five or six pounds, my waistline gets noticeably less soft.

The only successful way for me to lose weight was to eat less, and the only way I found that worked to eat less was to eat more real food and less processed food. Real food, once I cleansed my palate of processed food, simply tasted way better and satisfied me more.

I suggest that you allow yourself a lead-in time of one or two weeks to gradually adapt your schedule to match what you'll be doing over Ramadan. For example, it'll be much easier to switch from training in the morning to training in the evening if you do it ahead of time.
